Today was my first day at school. My god was I scared. 7.45 in the morning we began with Frau Bopp. Pronounced Frau Bob. Sooooo funny. But I did not laugh, no. With my nerves and lack of understanding of most things the day was fairly quiet according to my standards. I have about 27 kids in my class, with who I will spend the entire year with (Klasse 11a). There are 3 different 11th grade classes. We are in the room right next to the entrance on the main floor, which is slightly cold but overall good. For the most part we will stay in this room the entire year, except for Chemistry, Physics, Sport . . . and some others. I have school mon-fri until 12.35 (each class 45min long with a 20min break at 10.00), then on thursday "Nachuntterict" until 4.30 (with a 45min lunch break in the middle, at 10.00 break). Its actually a fairly nice schedule, but thursday will be a very long day. Im hoping to also join a Choir on Tuesdays, and two different Theater groups (and maybe Volleyball) on Friday. Then i will take painting classes at the music-art school where Theresa and Katharina go. (maybe tuesday). Unfortunately, I have Latin classes 4 days out of the 5. yikes. During that time though I believe I will go with the 6th grade class and either take German (where they learn grammar) or Latin (where theyre just beginning). Even the Principal (Direktor) said that there is no way I will keep up with them in Latin, because theyve learned most of the language by now and just go over everything again. We will see as to what becomes of that. I have Physics 2 times, math 3, a double hour of french on fridays, englisch and german almost everyday, geography 2 times, religion, history a few times . . . then on thursday art, music, and double hour sport. It will prove interesting.
It was 4degrees Celsius this morning though . . . ich. very cold. It cleared up this afternoon though. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better, and a little more talkative. There is church service in the morning, so classes will be a little late (yay!). Next week each class takes Wednesday (I believe) and goes hiking. Very cool. Hopefully it wont be as cold.

That is alot of school to accomplish before 1:00 in the afternoon. Wow!!
Let us know what classes are fun, are challenging, and are a breeze. Your potential involvement in activies will give you a chance to meet even more people. Keep up the great blog. It is very informative.
