a new word from the depths of the smud household meaning "little smud", coined by the family head himself, Peter, or "Smud". The name came into existence as a young child, where Mr. Peter was coined "smush", college friends and later colleagues at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center let the name evolve into Smud, now what he is called by board members, fellow WR Staff, and other friends and family. "Chen" in german means "little" (in an indirect manner at least), so the name of this blog is the "Smudchen Collective", meaning little smud collective.
I will be writing this blog to keep those interested souls updated with my ongoings in Kempten, Germany, where I will be spending the next year of my life as a student through the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.
